The Arduino Radar Object Detection system is a project that simulates radar functionality using an Arduino microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor, and servo motor. The system scans its surroundings by rotating an ultrasonic sensor mounted on a servo motor and detects objects within a specific range.
The hardware setup consists of an Arduino board, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for distance measurement, and a servo motor for rotation. The Arduino controls the servo to sweep in a 180-degree arc while the ultrasonic sensor continuously measures distances to objects in its path.
Data from the sensor is processed by the Arduino and transmitted via serial communication to a computer running Processing software. The Processing application creates a real-time graphical representation of the detected objects, mimicking a radar display with distance indicators and object positions.
The project demonstrates practical applications of distance sensing, servo control, serial communication, and data visualization. It can be used for educational purposes, robotics projects, or as a foundation for more advanced proximity detection systems.
